Our Why
All individuals are deserving of high-quality healthcare and digital health equity is attainable. In spite of the disparities that exist for underserved and marginalized populations we can empower them by employing community co-design to make technology fully available and accessible to all.
Our Approach
Our unique approach is human-centered, community-oriented, and systems-focused. We work directly with individuals, networks, and systems to identify needs and design technology-based and person-centered solutions. We bridge the gaps in the adoption and meaningful use of technologies by addressing the specific challenges within each community.
Privacy Policy
Health Tequity partners with healthcare, community and research organizations to provide the ACTIVATE platform and mobile application to their patients and clients. We provide our technology to healthcare covered entities as A “business associate” which the US Department of Health and Human Services describes as a subcontractor that creates, receives, maintains, or transmits protected health information on behalf of another business associate. We sign HIPAA Business Associate Agreements with HIPAA covered entities as required. For community and research organizations, we provide technology under research agreements or contracts and abide by the privacy, security, and confidentiality requirements of those organizations.
